Buff & Debuffs
When setting up a healer you consider the buffs and debuffs that you are providing the group to optimize DPS and survivability. Understanding what each of the buffs and debuffs can assist you in deciding which skill to priorities in certain situations.
Each buff and debuff are unique and can be stack with both minor and major together of the same type but you can not stack major on major it just gets reapplied and the timer is reset. For example, you can stack minor and major courage to increase ally's damage by 645, but if you applied major courage from two different sources such as SPC and Olorime the ally's damage is only increased by 430.
Buffs
Buffs are a status effect that applies to you or an ally that improves their performance whether it be increased sustain, survivability, and or damage it all adds up.

Debuffs
Debuffs are a status effect applied to enemies generally reducing their damage or increasing there damage taken in some ways

Minor Breach: Decreases Physical and Spell Resistance of an enemy by 2974

Major Breach: Decreases Physical and Spell Resistance of an enemy by 5948

Minor Defile: Reducing targets healing done to 8%

Major Defile: Reducing targets healing done to 16%

Minor Maim: Reduces an enemy's damage done by 5%

Minor Vulnerability: Increasing the enemy's damage taken by 5%.

Minor Lifesteal: While doing damage to the target restores 678 health per second

Minor Magickasteal: While doing damage to the target restores 168 magicka per second

Minor Brittle: Increases the target’s Critical Damage taken by 10%

Major Brittle: Increases the target’s Critical Damage taken by 20%

Minor Cowardice: Reduces the target’s Weapon and Spell Damage by 215

Major Cowardice: Reduces a target’s Weapon and Spell Damage by 430

Minor Mangle: Reduces the target's max health by 10%

Other Effects
There are some status effects that are displayed on the debuff bars at times that are handy to recognise.
-
Taunt: When you have the taunt of a target.
-
Off-Balance: Target is stunned and takes more damage from heavy attacks while applied and heavy attacks restore more restores
-
Off-Balance: immunity: A time when off-balance can not be reapplied to the target
-
Bleed: Causes enemy to take physical damage
-
Burning: Causes flame damage over 3 seconds to an enemy.
-
Poison: Causes damage over time for 6 seconds.
